Eileen, the author, has instructed the other characters and I to talk randomly on this blog. Rather boring, I should think, but I guess it helps with her characterization.

Well, first of all, I’m Vi McAdler. Just Vi. Those of you who think you have permission to call me Violet, you are dead wrong. Violet conjures up images of frilly things and cupcakes, and I will have none of that.
